More and more people are looking to work in the creative industries, only to realise that they have to get a BTEC or a bachelor's degree to be considered by their preferred university.
So, many wonder where they should study Art and Design to help them access top UK Universities or directly get a job in a creative field.
If you are thinking of brushing up on your creative skills, and pursuing your passion further, Blake College is the place for you.
Our former students have told us why they think Blake College is such a great place;
Here are the top 5 reasons:
No Previous experience is required. Yes indeed, whether you're interested in a foundation, subsidiary diploma or short course, you are all welcomed. We offer a mix and match of courses across fine art, graphic design, photography and fashion so you have a wide range of options to choose from.
Blake College is a small independent College in Islington, London, which means small class sizes - everyone gets individual attention from the teachers. We usually have 12 students max per classes.
The friendly atmosphere. We have a mixture of UK and international students, of all ages and backgrounds. This diversity in our student body makes for a very enriching and inclusive experience.
All of our teachers are practicing artists, meaning that they are exceptionally well placed to help you improve your creative skills. Our practical photography tutor Bill Ling teaches at the famous Holborn Studios. He has worked internationally as a fashion photographer and his editorial credits include Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Brides magazines, for various countries around the world. Mark Hamilton, our Director of Studies, was a finalist in the Association of Photographers Awards in the 15th Awards Portrait/Personal category. And achieved a special Mention in the Vogue Sotheby's award for Illustration. More recently Mark was shortlisted for the Guggenheim Youtube Play for his experimental film Continuum
We get exceptionally high results. Last year 77% of our students got the top mark possible across all subjects.
