This course covers all aspects of portrait photography, from environmental/street photography to carefully composed studio portraits. You will learn how to control available light as well as how to create your own, while learning ideas on how to get the best possible picture of your subject.
The Studio Lighting element of the course is held at Holborn Studios, London N1. This is a professional studio complex used by some of the world’s leading photographers.
All classes at Blake College of Art & Design are kept to a small number, allowing space for genuine 1:1 tuition with the teacher and a friendly, relaxed environment.
By the end of this course you will have taken portraits using daylight, camera-mounted flash and full studio lighting, and learned post-capture techniques to edit, retouch and store your final images.
This course is aimed for beginners, intermediate and advanced photographers alike. No prior studio experience is necessary although a basic understanding of exposure and how to operate your camera is required.
Each course runs from 10am until 4pm from Monday to Friday and costs £450.
Students wishing to take three or more courses can do so for £395 per course.
