Patricia Mulligan - Painting & Drawing

Patricia is our Painting & Drawing tutor and also our Head of Art Foundation. She has a BA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths University, having earlier gained an MA in General Arts at Edinburgh University (specialising in art history & anthropology), and a Masters in 3D Design & IT from Birmingham City University (specialising in digital design and animation). She has worked as a set designer and extensively as a digital designer, prior to concentrating on work as a visual artist and lecturer. All of these experiences inform her practice which is rooted in painting, printmaking, animation and writing. She is currently studying furthering her postgraduate studies with Turps Banana, and regularly participates in group shows, currently working a couple of exhibitions for late in 2018.

Andrew Williams - Photography Workshop, Digital Photography

Andrew teaches two of our photography classes and is an experienced professional photographer as well as a member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers and National Union of Journalists.

Anne Louise Kinsella - Textiles

London based Textile & Surface Designer: Experienced studio designer + international sales & freelance projects.

Educator: @ Morley UAL Kensington & Chelsea Arts, London Museums, Schools & Educational workshop leader & Youth Mentor.

Kasia Piechota - Spatial Design

Kasia is an associate member of the British Institute of Interior Design and runs an interior design business.

George Levantis - Life Drawing, Art and Design Theory

After leaving the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London, Levantis accepted an Artist Place Group residency with Ocean Fleets of Liverpool, taking him to Japan, Africa and South East Asia. The work produced constrictions, made from canvas, paint, bamboo etc. - materials acquired in different ports. These were documented in a publication, Pieces of Sea Fall through the Stars.

"These themes have surfaced and the work I am presently engaged in features narratives that are more related to sea, salt, wind and birds."

Juliet Sugg - Illustration, Graphic Communication

Juliet is a freelance artist, specialising in narrative art and performance. She has been commissioned both commercially and personally for various projects including the Whitechapel Gallery, Southbank Centre and the Whitstable Biennale, and she has illustrated a number of graphic novels. Juliet's work fuses authorial illustration with performance and installation creating 'live' graphic novels, which allow the viewer to step inside the narrative.

Gal Sapir - Digital Imaging

Gal combines a commercial graphic and web design practice with a long term research interest in image making and printmaking. He has extensive experience within digital media and graphic design with a specialism in branding and web design.

Bill Ling - Photography

Visiting lecturer Bill enjoyed international acclaim as a fashion photographer with editorial credits for Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Brides magazines. He holds a PGCE teaching qualification and his courses complement our tradition of photographic excellence at Blake College.
